Kathmandu: The Supreme Court (SC) today issued an order to government hospitals providing reproductive services to allocate separate cabins for disabled women. A division bench of Justices Bala Ram KC and Bharat Raj Upreti ordered government hospitals to develop disabled-friendly infrastructure. Forum for Women, Law and Development (FWLD) had filed a case asking for preservation of disabled women’s fundamental rights. An FWLD statement said the SC had also ordered development of programmes to address the reproductive problems of disabled women.
