Maternity allowance attracts Surket women in droves

BIRENDRANAGAR: The number of women coming to hospital for child birth has increased after the Government started providing transportation allowance.
A total of 4,373 women availed of maternity services at the health centres across the district in the fiscal year 2065/67, the District Health Office has said.
There is a regional hospital, four primary health centres, eight health centres and six sub-health posts in Surkhet.
The Government has been providing the incentive in order to encourage women to come to the health centres for child birth.
