KATHMANDU: The UCPN-Maoist on Thursday threatened to change its strategy if the government failed to stop the series of murders of its activists.

An unidentified armed group gunned down Maoist Bara Distict Committee Member Khesari Yadav on Thursday morning in Bara district.

Issuing a press release in the capital, Maoist spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma demanded that the murdered cadre be declared a martyr and demanded legal action against the culprits. He also demanded compensation for his family. Sharma also warned that if the situation is not improved the party could come up with a new strategy.
