2 women caught for trafficking minor

KANCHANPUR: Two women of Dipnagar in Jhalari-9, Kanchanpur have been taken into police custody on the charge of taking a 15-year-old girl of the same locality to be sold in India.
Laxmi Bohara,26, and Laxmi Bhandari,20, were taken under control by the locals on the charge of trafficking the girl to India, and handed over to police.
The two lured the girl on the pretext of shopping and took her to the Indian border market of Banbasa and handed her over to Geeta Dhami, a pimp, said Daman Bahadur Bista, brother of the girl.
After interrogation by the locals, the girl was returned back to Chipnagar on Friday. She was reportedly trafficked on July 26.
Both the women were handed over to police on Friday, but the police has said a case against them would be registered only on Sunday.
