'Janakpur blast victims will be airlifted to India'

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai today said the government would make arrangements to take critically injured survivors of Janakpur bomb blast to India through air-ambulance for further treatment.

After meeting with the victims of the bomb blast this morning at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, PM Bhattarai said the government would grant martyrdom to those who lost their lives in the blast.

Bhattaria also promised compensation to the victims’ families and full treatment for the other injured persons in the blast. He also expressed his commitment for thorough investigation of the blast and bringing the culprits to book.

Four persons were killed and 28 others injured when a bomb went off at sit-in organised by the Mithila State Struggle Committee at Ramananda Chowk in Janak-pur on Monday. After the blast the 14 injured were airlifted to Kathmandu and undergoing treatment at the TUTH. The condition of two are stated critical.
