NAMASTE This is me Narayan Joshi writing for this week's question published on 13 March 2013. Yoga the word came from Sanskrit and yoga means adding "to unite or integrate." Yoga then is about the union of a person's own consciousness and the universal consciousness. If you do it regularly definitely it will give you a healthy life style and peace of mind. It has some rules to follow it , sometimes if you don't follow the rules it can give you negative results. I think yoga and meditation are two wheels of a cart because first doing yoga fulfill the exercise of the health while after wards doing meditation is to keep away from the stress for peace of mind. I am practicing yoga and meditation since last two years after studying yoga and naturopathy from Balmiki Campus. I did different yoga asana in between but I liked doing surya namaskar asana which benefits me to always fresh healthy and makes positive thinking, I heard that it will regulate the blood circulation and purifies fresh blood all over the body which keeps away from different diseases. I do enjoy dong bipasana meditation and shivayog which also benefits me to work on positive way. Lastly I recommend you to do yoga and meditation regularly and make a change and see the difference as a time possess for your good health. I firmly believe that Yoga and meditation are the better option for better health, better concentration, better confidence, better self satisfaction & eternal joy. Needless to say that it is a priceless gift of nature to the human beings to get rid of most of the health related problems. Since the time immemorial, our ancestors had devised such amazing techniques to pursue healthy lifestyle. I have been practicing meditation for almost 6 months in a regular basis . I have realized the difference. I have seen few evidences that those patients who have lost their faith in allopathic remedy ultimately visit yoga and meditation center and learn the technique and sooner their deteriorated health comes to track. Some people argue that Yoga and meditation are for those who have poor health or psychological disorder. But it is totally baseless. Anyone can do it after learning the basic steps.

This is also called non pharmacological pain killer. Yoga or meditation are very good for people who suffered from chronic illness. This is also useful when you are in problems, tensions, it really diverts our mind into peaceful state.Meditation can help clear the mind and ease many health issues, such as high blood pressure,depression and anxiety.Today physicians advice us to do meditation, it helps in treatment process too.Its benefit ranges from a healthy person to a cancer patient. Thats why it is supposed to be done for a healthy lifestyle.When i am in problem , i used to meditate, that gives me more energy to fight for it. Regular Yoga or meditation will make our day more fruitful than usual.

Days are not so old when I never believed in yoga and meditation. But my mum who usually is in trap of many diseases experienced some improvement on health from the same. So, I too thought to try it. Suffered from chronic common cold and big belly, I tried some yoga prescribed by Baba Ram Dev. To a surprise to me, it did not take longer than 2 weeks time to show its direct result. It not only solved those respective problems with the aid of yoga like kapal bhati and aalolam bilolam but also added some positive thoughts inside me. Soon after that I started mediation with the aid of some Buddhist Chants and the result were increased level of concentration and a sense of freshness throughout the day, which eventually helped in raising mine work productivity and performance. In a nutshell, yoga and mediation are means of life in today's busy and hectic life style and hence everyone irrespective of age, gender, occupation and similar other factor should try to enrich the quality of living with its implementation in daily life.

yoga has become like a part of our life. even nowadays doctor advice us to do some types of yoga. yoga can be beneficial if we do it in correct way but if it is done haphazardly then m not sure whats its result gonna be ! if we ask anyone why we need yoga then the simple answer from them will be to be healthy. i dont do any type of yoga but my family does some sort of yoga and meditation .And i have seen some positive changes through out my family memebers. there are different leaders who train us for yoga and meditation but the point is whom should we believe and why? thats why we should try those yoga postures which wont harm us even if it goes wrong so that we remain on safe side of our life .i think, meditation is one of the powerful tool rather than yoga coz but it needs more concentration power which we dont need in yoga. so yoga and meditation is good for us unless we take it seriously and we must be concern about what type of yoga we are doing and what would be its result!!!!!
