Benjamin Disraeli has said;"A consistent soul believes in destiny, a capricious one in chance.” The question is whether the initiation of night shuttle service will produce outcomes or would it just be trial and error. No doubt, such an action is praise worthy .However there are some measures required to be adopted to ensure public safety and comfort.I still remember the chaotic scenario at Sahid Gate, where passengers run about, hit each other and sometimes even sit on the roof of the buses .They have no choice with squeezing in the last micro van or the bus heading to their destiny. Not everyone has a scooter or can afford the high taxi fare.I believe, people can now relax and worry less. They can work extra time, visit their friends and families, have fun in market or enjoy late night wedding receptions. This in turn, would lead to economical booming of night markets, evening colleges, restaurants and indirectly empower society. This initiation must be taken as a punch to those public transporters who fit in passengers nearly double to the vehicles' capacity.Have not we experienced M/C chair in buses??That refers to small wooden chairs acting as an extra seat.I think the Government should start using pre paid coupons with citizenship number for bus tickets. This way the culprit can be trapped.Government alone cannot do everything. We as citizens must have civic sense. If someone puts on heavy gold ornaments, wears revealing clothes, shows off expensive gadgets, s/he would surely have security problems even during daytime or in any part of the world. If You and I abide by the law and maintain peace and harmony, together we as 'us' can make this initiation an everlasting change.Let us all support this noble cause.
