All these type of activities will cause a serious harm to the general people lifestyle.these activities are inconvenience. There are many people here who have to work a single day to afford for their meal two times a day.So these type of bandhas should be stopped and should build a peaceful nepal.

Bands and chakka jams are back and yes, along with them problems too are back. Though we all have right to express our dissatisfaction but this is not the good way of demanding. This sort of activities ruin our image in front of the foreign world. we must search other peaceful options of protest rather than calling strike.

I just feel that the bandhs and chakka jams are bad influences to our developing society. They are just a hindrance and trouble maker for the country and it's people. I am strongly in opposition to these bandhs because they're just creating nothing more than a havoc in the society. If people or a particular group of people want to raise their voice to the leaders then they should pressurize the leaders privately instead of creating inconvenience to the general people. Due to these strikes, we students are being deprived from our education which is a serious concern for everyone because we are the future of this country and if we are not getting any knowledge due to the closure of educational institutions because of these strikes then how can people expect future developments and leaders for the country to run? How will Nepal go ahead in the path of development!!!

bandh and chakka-jams are not good for the people and for the country. No one like bandha that much. personally, these bandhs do not benefit and fruitful to the people because people are suffering from these day to day strikes, its like a headache for the people. how can bandhs and strikes could get peace in the country where most of the people are dying due to untimely treatment. everyday we could read the death toll news from different places of the country. i feel so embarrassed when i come across the news of the pregnant mother who died in the bus, the man who could not reach hospital in time, and the people who died in the way to hospital. do we need this news everyday, is it good for the country and what the strike is for? people who do bandhs and strikes and do not have a sense of responsibility have no right to called them a responsible citizen. strikes is just a way of showing the power of the party and nothing more than that. we need PEACE not PIECES. Bandhs are not the solution for the problem, the party are creating nuisance everyday. more strikes create more hardship and day to day hand mouth problem who depend on small works.

No, these bandhs and strikes in no way highlight the causes for which they are called for rather they have made lives crippled. The very manner in which these strikes are called it is crystal clear that they are more for individual gains rather than contributing to address the issues at hand. Had they been for some cause they would not be involved in the henious act of beating a pregnant women in morang who had to be rushed to the hospital. At least they would acknowledge some humanitarian considerations. But to our dismay, no one seems to care about the minimum humanitarian values when it comes to protest. Moreover, the strikes have affected the school going children in such a way that they instead of reciting rhymes and poems have started chanting political slogans without even getting a clue as to what those slogans mean. We can see that there occurs a huge rush of people in the early hours of the day to reach to their destinations since they are not sure who might just call up a 'bandh' in the later parts of the day. My question to all the protest organizers is that 'isnt there any civilized way devised in the world to protest and voice one's opinion that you have chosen this barbarism of vandalizing and victimising the geneal public when you say you have been doing all these for the general public themselves. I regret to say that these acts of 'series of bandhs' are infact paralysing people's daily lives. If only these protests could guarantee 'bread and butter' for people even for a day my opposition towards 'bandh' as a means of protest would have been moderate to some extent.

"Bandakarta" feel that the bandha will give pressure to the government and their demand will be met. And the same thing happening while noticing the government's reaction against bandha. The Government do not take care about their demands priorly and when bandha is called than only the government begin the talks with bandakarta. Upto that time innocent people would had already borne the hardships of bandha. Some demands of bandhakarta could not be made at all. If such demands come to surface the major parties should come to concensus to act boldly against it. Otherwise the culture of bandha may become so rampant that it could go beyond control threatening the law and order and even the existence of the country.

We have been seeing this bandh and chakka jams for the last many years. The leaders of this country do not care for the economy and hardships of the general people and poor people who earn their bread on daily basis. The leaders for their own benefit instigate general people or press them to hit the road. The bandh and hartals will not serve the purpose of the country rather the problem should be sorted out through delibertions and discussions sitting across the table. People are facing hardships by rising prices of daily commodities and leaders are not bothered rather concentrating to make this country paralysed. God give them wisdon to think for the country and peoples.

Bandhs and chakka jams are no longer seen as means of showing dissent or protest. It is now only a tool to show off muscle power by local goons and thugs. After every "Bandh" evening, such lumpen elements come together and over binge drinking, brag about how they threatened so and so to shut down his business or how many vehicles they were able to vandalize. The objective for calling the Bandh is neither recalled nor ever understood. The malaise lies in the patronizing attitude of political leaders towards these goons and thugs, who continue to believe that keeping such lumpen elements in their fold is the only way to demonstrate political power and win elections. It is indeed a sad situation that this country has come to, and unfortunately, democracy without exception implies that every nation or state gets the governance it deserves. Possibly, the nation deserves no better.

Such bands and strikes should not be called by anyone because it doesnot give any benefits to anybody of the society or nation as a whole. Moreover, it brings pain in the life of general people as they will be unable to maintain their regular life and on top of it it mostly, hampers the daily wage earners. The nation also bears a huge loss from it. So, political parties should rethink in this topic and find other alternatives for pressuring the concern government. Lastly, i want to say the old saying "BAND TO BAND"

Question

The bandhs and chakka-jams are back. Do you feel that calling a strike really highlights the cause for which it is called? Or do you feel such activities are more of an inconvenience for the general people who have to bear the brunt of everything in the name of this-cause and that-cause? Give reasons
