Humankind has always tried to enhance their looks. Therefore, jewelry, clothes and other accessories have been present since time incarnate. One of the oldest ways of decorating oneself known to human kind was the tattoo. Tattoos have been used for all kinds of purposes ever since the dawn of time. The word tattoo is derived from the Polynesian word, 'tattoo', which literally means to tap or to mark someone. Perhaps, for me tattooing is not a taboo but it is a pure form of art . And if I get a chance I will definitely ink my body part. Here, different people have their own different views for tattooing their body like religious, military service and just for fun but I have a reason for tattooing my body part is to describe myself through art. Because tattoo is more than a mark and it also helps to represent who you are. If I get a tattoo, the design I would opt for is a women in butterfly shape with butterfly's wings. That's means which focuses the awesome power that is contained within all women. It also represent the dreamer, which head is usually in the cloud. And I would like to decor it in my shoulder blade.

well, tatoo its not a taboo. It looks nice if it is done only on some parts od our body. When it is done all over the body it doesn't look nice. well the word taboo means; The word has been somewhat expanded in the social sciences to include strong prohibitions relating to any area of human activity or custom that is sacred or forbidden based on moral judgment and religious beliefs. Tatoo is a nice activity. I love to have tatoo on my leg part jus a little below my lateral malleolus, so that no one can see it, except in summers when i wear slippers...thou it looks nice..So tatoo is nit a taboo, its fashion if used in lillt part of body.

Question

The art of tattooing in Nepal has started to gain momentum with events like tattoo conventions. But there are still people who regard tattoo as taboo. For you, is tattooing a taboo or is it a pure form of art? And if given a chance, will you ink you body part? Give reasons and also mention if you get a tattoo where would it be and what design would you opt for?
