Nepal in terms is a poor country. People here due to poverty cannot even eat twice a day. Even children are compelled to work everyday. In this critical condition giving money to the children who come to school might help. but even this can be hard for government. Giving food is the best among all but makes people dependent towards the government. So, bringing a plan of development where children of people will be taught for free and money or food materials are given away is best along with others as giving fuel, mending houses, helping in there work as alternatives.

Hmmmmm all that methods are effective for enhanching education status in our country. The only thing we lack is its proper implementation into action.Besides all these plans,i would like to suggest the policy of "sambridhi family" especially for rural society. It is a policy of giving monthly salary to poor and needy families for sending their children to school. It is more or less similar to scholarship scheme.I just want to manipulate this in my own way in order to attract the people of rural areas by giving th eintroduction of those policy. All policy are best in itself. The consequences of that policy totally depends on the execution and presenatation of the policy. That is my policy for education the villages of nepal."Shanti Nepal,Sikshit Nepal"

What a good and valid question. Midday meals and free rations are excellent incentives for under-privileged parents to send their children to school. However, the free rations should be for the whole family so that parents can also benefit from sending their children to school. The government should also be able to raise awareness amongst such families of how education can better their children’s lives and opportunities for better employment prospects. The government should make education for the under-privileged families free beyond primary level i.e. secondary and college levels and develop systems to place them in various jobs according to their merit and potentials. However, the government should also help to decrease the number of educated people remaining unemployed otherwise it will defeat the purpose of promoting the value of education.

Question

We harp about education for all, free primary education. But the reality is that poor parents do not send their kids to school as they do not want to lose an extra pair of working hands. Midday meals, free rations are some ways to convince such parents to send their kids to school. What could be the other ways?
