On September 3, four models got a chance to see their looks for the ramp at the demo session held at VLCC centre in Dillibazaar. According to Shalini Shrestha, Manager of VLCC centre, they have created four looks for the fashion week.
"Since there are many themes in a day, we are selecting looks as per the model's face. But the looks we have created will also match the themes by giving a slight touch up," Shrestha added.
The four looks include both western style as well as those meant for wedding receptions.
Makeup artist Shakel Kunwar said that though meant for ramp, they have included subtle looks as well "which is the latest trend on the international ramps".
As for hairstyles, one will see a lot of volume and curls. Shrestha said, "We are trying new styles with hair and we will be using accessories also."
A fashion week is meant to provide a sneak peek into what is going to be in vogue in the coming season. So will they also be doing the same with make-up?
Shrestha replied that they would be showcasing new make-up trends. According to her, orange is the next big thing in make-up and they have used this colour in their looks for the ramp.
On the look that was the most challenging, Shrestha said, "Most of the time a lot of red is used in bridal make-up, but we have created a fresh new look for brides which I believe will be very interesting."
