I had a chance to come back to Nepal after a couple of years of studying. I am very sad to see and hear about many people being killed by these road mishaps. Public transportation is a vital infrastructure for any country and for it to be flawed is shameful and unacceptable at any level. the government should create stricter requirements for acquiring commercial licenses as well as implement speed limiting devices on such vehicles. The public should also be aware that setting the vehicles on fire doesn't do any good as it only destroys the owner of the vehicle whereas the driver responsible is just sent away with a slap on the wrist. These drivers should in fact be convicted of homicide. Kalash Tuladhar, Mankato, MN USA
