KALIKOT: Forty-five-year-old Gyani Pura Bom died of diarrhoea in Kalikot’s Khin Village Development Committee on Tuesday. Other 22 persons are said to be suffering from the disease in the village. — HNS

JANAKPURDHAM: Salikram Prasad Shah, 55, a pharmacist, was shot in Mills Area of Janakpur on Tuesday evening. Shah said a motorbike pillion rider shot him in the thigh. A resident of Janakpur - 11, Shah is undergoing treatment in Janakpur Zonal Hospital. — HNS
Tusker menace
BARA: A dozen elephants destroyed crops in one-and-a-half bighas of land in Dumarbana on Monday night. The tuskers damaged crops belonging to Shankar Nepal, Raj Kuamr Pudasaini and Chaite Rai , police said.— HNS
