KATHMANDU: Ten youth organisations affiliated to various political parties have stressed on bringing constitution within May 27 by ensuring identity and federalism.
Organising a press meet in the Capital on Saturday, young leaders warned that country would see bigger crisis if the constitution was brought without ensuring identity and federalism.
They reiterated that the country must be restructured by either 10 or 14 provinces.
The demands of the Madhesi and indigenous nationalities must be addressed soon, and the genuine demands of other ethnicities heeded, the speakers underscored.
At the press meet, Chairman of the Young Communist League affiliated to the UCPN-Maoist, Ganesh Man Pun warned if the conspiracy against federalism was not stopped, a vigorous agitation would be launched with the confidence of people.
He pointed out the need to keep vigil on the ill-efforts to restore 2047BS constitution.
Similarly, Chairman of Madhesi Youth Forum Nepal, Yogendra Raya said the achievements of various movements were being ignored. It was the need of hour to bring constitution with the guarantee of identity and federalism, he added.
Representatives of other organizations including Madhesi Youth Forum Nepal Loktantrik, Tarai Madhes Youth Front, Madhesi Youth Forum Nepal Republican, Sadbhavana Youth Forum, Youth Communist Association United, Nepal Loktantrik Youth Front, Federation of Indigenous Nationalities' Youths and Tharu Students Society were present in the press meet.
