Life of a student is blissful and being School Captain is a successful step towards shaping one’s career. It is a step which helps student learn, motivate and inspire amid performing various duties and responsibilities on time but the sad part is school itself does not have or give priority to groom the ‘School Captain’.
In order to groom school captains, TPES Winner Club had organised a workshop for school captains — ‘Leadership and Teamwork’ on June 9 at Jayabageshwori, Kathmandu. School captains learned many good things and got an opportunity to polish their skills. They learned about leadership and its challenges, importance of teamwork, time management, communication and public relations, personality development, and many more.
Moin Uddin, a radio presenter, took a class and interacted with them and made the students play the game ‘Mine Field’ where one student is blindfolded and other student guides that student verbally. It is the best game that I have ever played as I got to know about the importance of communication and trust, also teamwork helps a lot in winning the game. We had lots of fun and learned many necessary qualities needed to be a school captain.
The school captains of VS Niketan, Apex Life School, Kathmandu Xavier School, Reliance International School, Cambridge Public School and Indradhanush School had taken part in the workshop. The workshop is held on every Saturday.
