US official arrives

KATHMANDU: Sam Witten, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration at the US Department of State, arrived here on Wednesday for a two day visit. Witten met officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs as well as officials at the local and international levels dealing with refugee issues, a press statement issued here by the US Embassy in Kathmandu, stated. During the meetings, Witten discussed the latest scenario of the Tibetan and Bhutanese refugees residing in Nepal.
