KATHMANDU: United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative has called for stories about innovative approaches to addressing challenges and barriers to girls’ education from around the world to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC) on October 11.
The theme for this year's IDGC is 'Innovating for Girls’ Education'. According to UNGEI, the stories should be about innovative approaches that were used to address the challenges and barriers to girls' education.
If available, some of the key results that have been achieved would be appreciable, it said. Some of the key areas of innovation for girls’ education are education delivery, system and infrastructure, education curriculum and pedagogy, education partnerships, engagement and data and accountability, according to UNGEI. The deadline for submission of stories is September 6.
