UML yet to decide on federal provinces

CHITWAN: Vice-president of the CPN-UML Bidya Devi Bhandari has said her party has not yet taken decision on the federal provinces.
Speaking in a press meet organised by the Press Chautari, Chitwan chapter at local Bharatpur Airport today, she said although discussions have been held in the party regarding forming 13 provinces since the last three days, no formal decision has been taken on the topic as yet.
She said the federal provinces should be delineated on the basis of history and culture and not on ethnic lines.
The UML vice-president also said that the constitution could not be promulgated without the formation of a national consensus government.
