UML CC meet underway in Balkhu

KATHMANDU: A Central Committee meeting of the CPN-UML is taking place at the central party office in Balkhu on Saturday afternoon.
The meeting is expected to dwell on the political conditions following the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly and the announcement of the CA elections today.
The meeting will also render its efforts to patch up the party’s internal row cropped up over the issue of ethnicity-based federalism that the ethnic and Madhesi leaders have been raising.
Ethnic leaders including Ashok Rai, Bijya Subba and Prithvi Subba Gurung and Ram Chandra Jha have been boycotting party’s politburo and CC meetings for the same reason.
