KATHMANDU: Coordinator of Broader Madhesi Front and Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal Upendra Yadav has said that the talks among the major political parties were not positive until now.
Emerging from the Prime Minister's Official Residence, Baluwatar, after the meeting, Yadav said the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) were not ready to accept federalism with identity and constitution with federalism.
Yadav said, "The country will get a new constitution within the remaining hours of the CA only if miracle worked. Otherwise, the CA would be dissolved and new constitution will not be promulgated."
He said that he had put forth the party's stance for 'One Madhes, One Province' with the Prime Minister and the senior leaders of the political parties. The main agenda of the state restructuring should be finalised through consensus and the transitional parliament should look after other minor issues.
