KATHMANDU: The UCPN-Maoist is slated to hold a meeting of its National General Convention Organising Committee (NGCOC) today.
According to party Spokesman Dina Nath Sharma, a national convention organising committee meeting has been scheduled for today and that the representatives will deliberate on work division for the leaders.
The meeting will take place after 1 pm at the party headquarters in Peris Danda in Koteshwor.
The remaining 20 members to be inducted into NGCOC will also be chosen today, said Sharma.
Only on Thursday, Unified CPN-Maoist had decided to form a 251-member national convention organising committee.
The UCPN-M had decided during its seventh plenum to hold a convention and dissolved its central committee and formed an organising committee for the same. UCPN-M was left with only 105 CC members after the Baidya faction chose to depart.
UCPN-M has not held its national convention for about two decades.
Party’s general convention is slated for February of 2013.
