UCPN-M defers general convention of its sister wings

KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist said on Friday that the final date for the general convention of its sister organizations is yet to be decided.
“Due to certain technical glitches and emerging complexities, we have decided to postpone the general convention,” said UCPN-M Spokesperson Agni Sapkota by issuing a press release on Friday.
The next date for the convention will be fixed by consulting with fraction in-charges of different sister organizations and with respective office bearers, reads the press release.
Speculations are at rife that the convention has been postponed due to widening difference between UCPN-M Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and one of the vice-chairmen Baburam Bhattarai.
