BHADRAPUR: A wild elephant destroyed a house in Chandragadhi this morning. In a separate incident, the same tusker injured a girl.

The elephant destroyed paddy grains and the wall of Lawati Mill in Chandragadhi VDC Ward No. 7.

Similarly, the elephant destroyed the bamboo structure of the house of local Bharat Chaudhary, said Bijay Karki, a local.

The elephant is also reported to have attacked a girl riding a bicycle at Dhanush Mode, informed District Forest Office, Jhapa.

She has been taken to hospital.
