Truck kills man

CHITWAN: A pedestrian died after he was knocked down by a truck at Magani Chowk, Khairahani in east Chitwan last night.
The truck with registration number plate Na 3 Kha 806 hit 45-year-old Man Bahadur Ghale while he was crossing the road, leaving him critically injured. Ghale, who was rushed to the Bharatpur Medical College Hospital, died while undergoing treatment, police said.
Irate locals vandalised the truck and blocked the road following the accident. The truck driver is at large and the police are searching for him.
