Truck accident kills 1‚ injures 6

TANAHUN: A person died on the spot and six others were injured in a road accident at Jamune VDC-1 in Tanahun district along Prithvi Highway today.
The deceased is Prem Bahadur Nepali, 30, of Jamune VDC-9 in the district, according to the District Police Office, Tanahun.
The accident took place when a Narayangadh-bound mini-truck from Pokhara hit a man, who was waiting for a bus at the side of the road, while attempting to save a woman who was crossing the road, according to preliminary investigation of the police.
Of the injured, condition of four is critical. They are undergoing treatment at Damauli Hospital and preparations are underway to take them to another place for further treatment.
