KATHMANDU: Nepal Press Institute (NPI) organized a three-day training to strengthen capacity of journalists working in print and electronic media in a bid to leverage peace building and democratization through media sector.
Some 30 media professionals from different media house are taking part in the training conducted with the financial assistance of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
At the programme, Osamu Abe of JICA Media for Peace Project, said media has been significantly contributing to consolidate democracy and develop the country.
The training was imparted by a roster of facilitators including Prof. P Kharel, Kundan Aryal, Shobha Gautam, and Chiaki Matsumoto of JICA Media for Peace Project.
