KATHMANDU: A biker has been killed and his pillion rider sustained injuries after a tipper hit them on the northern outskirts of the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Saturday evening.
Police said on Sunday that 24-year-old Krishna Kumar Maharjan, of Dhulikhel, and 29-year-old Badri Thapa, of Balachaur in Sindhuli, were knocked down at the road that heads to Gothatar at around 6:30 pm yesterday.
Both of them were rushed to the Sinamangal-based Kathmandu Medical College Hospital, where Maharjan breathed his last during the course of treatment.
Maharjan was currently residing at Gaurighat, while Thapa is said to be an employee at the Tribhuvan Army Club.
Police said they are looking into the case.
