Three from same family die as tree falls on their abode

KATHMANDU: Three members of a family lost their lives after a doomed tree fell on their roofed house.
The calamity took place at Pipaladi VDC -9 of Kanchanpur last night, as soon as a tree adjacent to house uprooted in a storm and fell on the house trapping three under its weight to death.
Wife to one Mannu Lohar, Dhana BK, 40, her son Deepak, 12, and her daughter Pooja, 10 died in the mishap, said the district police on Monday.
Meanwhile electricity poles in places near to Pipaladi have fallen flat, leaving power supply disrupted.
