"Merger between two parties will fight for the rights of the Tharu and Madhesi people"

DANG: Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic(MJF-D) and Tharuhat Terai Party officially got united on Thursday.

Addressing an assembly organised at Lamahi , Tharuhat Terai Party, central member, Laxaman Tharu announced the merger between the two Terai-based parties.

MJF-D is led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar, while Tharuhat Terai Party is being led by Laxman Tharu after breaking away with UCPN-M.

On the occasion, Gachhadar and Tharu expressed their view that the merger between two parties will fight for the rights of the Tharu and Madhesi people.

Earlier, thousands of Tharuhat Terai Party cadres had joined MJF-D in the programme held in the district.
