Tension flares up as victim's kin stage sit-in

KATHMANDU: A tension has flared up after the kin of Rinju Tamang, who was allegedly killed by a tanker driver, staged a sit-in demanding compensation and action against the killer in the Bouddha area on Wednesday afternoon.
Tamang had been crushed to death by the water tanker while she was euphorically distributing sweets among her mates as part of celebration of her successful SLC result in the Bouddha area on June 15.
Victim Rinju had got through the Iron Gate of this year, scoring 75 percent marks, sources said.
The kin of the victim is staging a sit-in in front of Bouddha Police Post demanding action against the killer and due compensation for the victim’s family today.
