Teachers lock banks

BIRTAMOD: Teachers padlocked the Ratriya Banijya Bank, Birtamod, Jhapa branch after the bank failed to issue their salaries on Tuesday. The irate teachers have detained the bank personnel in the office. Banks have been facing cash problems due to the inability of the Nepal Rastra Bank to issue an adequate amount of currency notes.
Meanwhile, in similar incidents, Tanahu teachers obstructed the Nepal Bank Limited Tanahu branch while Baglung teachers padlocked the Nepal Bank Limited Baglung branch for the same reason on Tuesday.

How can Rastra Bank issue notes?? Now they are void of 1000rs notes coz Maoists has not let out the money they looted (and how can they??) There should be balanced in note flows. So, when notes goes out from Rastra Bank it should go in also. But after the notes got out, these notes are lost. So, hey teachers, padlock Maoists and don't let intervene our lives, get the money out from them instead.. Hendrik Shemel, Phillipines | Report Abuse
