KATHMANDU: A seven member task-force, formed to put into paper the Tuesday’s breakthrough in statute-drafting process has commenced its task from the Wednesday morning.
The task-force has been entrusted to put into paper the agreement inked among the big guns on five contentious issues of the statute-- forms of governance, federalism, judiciary, election system and citizenship.
The chores endowed to us would be terminated by the afternoon prior sending them to the Problem Resolution (PR) sub-committee, said Ramesh Lekhak, one of the members of the task-force while talking to Kantipur FM.
The task-force is also supposed to give a final touch to the questionnaire on 117 issues to be put to vote in the Constituent Assembly (CA).
The task-force comprising Khim Lal Devkota and Barshaman Pun from UCPN-Maoist, Ramesh Lekhak and Radhe Shyam Adhikari from Nepali Congress(NC), Bhim Rawal and Agni Kharel from CPN-UML, and Kalpana Rana of Rastriya Prajatantra Party was formed by PR sub-committee yesterday.
