KATHMANDU: The task force that was assigned to finalise the content of sankalpa prastav by the three big political parties, UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress and UML, failed to perform its task in a meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday. The task force could not agree on the terminologies to be used in the content as its members refused to retreat from their earlier stances.
According to Yubaraj Gyawali, member of task force representing UML, the meeting concluded inconclusively as the Maoists reiterated their earlier demand to mention the President’s move to reinstate the then CoAS as ‘unconstitutional’ in the content, no matter how. However, Nepali Congress has been saying that it would not be appropriate to haul a constitutional figure like the President into the controversy.
