KATHMANDU: Students of different colleges these days are active in charity works and those studying at The British College (TBC) are no exception.
Through recently formed The British College Hatemalo Foundation, students donated five cartons of clothing to Help Nepal Network (HNN) on June 27. As per a press release issued by the college, TBC Hatemalo Foundation also made its debut through this donation programme.
The foundation handed over the clothes donated by the students and staff of the college to the representative of HNN, Dixya Sign, added the press statement.
Meanwhile, the release also informed that Rajen Kandel, NRN and CEO of The British College, had donated Rs 100,000 at the 6th NRN Europe Conference for the victims of landslides.
TBC Hatemalo Foundation established to promote the idea of working together for a good cause is now looking for donations of old books and dry food. Quoting Suman Shrestha, Marketing Manager of TBC, the statement added, “Service to humanity is the best work of life. TBC will always feel happy will contribute to all those types of social responsibility.”
