KATHMANDU: A meeting of the three major political parties- the UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress (NC), and CPN-UML which was convened in Baluwatar on Thursday morning to allocate portfolios to newly-elected ministers, ended inconclusively.
Though UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has been appointed as the deputy prime ministers, the UML Central Committee member Radha Gyanwali, Parshuram Khapung from Rastriya Janashkti Party, Anil Jha of Sanghiya Sadbhawana Party, Keshav Man Shakya from Nepa: Rastriya Party, Chadra Dev Joshi from CPN –United, and Eknath Dhakal from Nepal Pariwar Dal are yet to be allocated portfolios.
Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai had added seven more ministers--two from the CPN-UML and five from the fringe parties-- to his Cabinet on Wednesday.
