BIRATNAGAR: Normal life in Sunsari and Morang districts have been affected today due to pre-announced bandh called by National Muslim Struggle Alliance demanding guarantee of separate identity of the Muslim Community in the new constitution.
According to supporter of the Alliance, Master Arshad, the struggle of Muslim was not with any ethnic group, religion or language but with the state and that they will establish their rights.
Factories, transport services, educational institutions and markets have been completely shut down due to the bandh.
The bandh has hit normal life in Muslim settlements in Inaruwa, Bhamari, Duhabi, Sonapur, Jhokraha of Sunsari district and Biratnagar and Hattimuda of Morang district.
Similarly, the bandh called by the Committee has also hit the normal life in Nepalgunj.
Transport services, factories, educational institutions, shops have been completely affected due to the bandh.
Leaders of the Muslim community said that "One Madhes, one province" was in no way acceptable to them.
Likewise, normal life in the Mid-West has been affected due to bandh called demanding an undivided Mid-West.
Transport services in Banke, Bardiya, Surkhet, Dang, among other districts have been completely halted due to the bandh, according to the Regional Traffic Police Office, Kohalpur.
