KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority and Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited today signed a power purchase agreement for purchasing electricity generated from a solar power plant in Sundarighat, Lalitpur. As per the agreement, the NEA will purchase power at Rs 5.10 per unit. The plant with the capacity of 680KW will add 6,18,000 units per year to the national grid.
Set up with Japanese aid, the plant aims to ensure uninterrupted power to various water plants. Surplus power will be sold to the NEA.
