  Syakar Company gearing up to reintroduce Honda Dio 110cc

KATHMANDU: After enjoying huge success in the Nepali market, Honda is reintroducing the latest model of Dio in early July. According to a reliable source, Syakar Company, authorised distributor of Honda two-wheelers, is planning to

introduce the upgraded version

of the largest selling scooter by the first week of July. The scooter was launched in India in February.

“We are expecting much from this new upgraded version of the scooty, as the previous one enjoyed the top-most position in the market,” the source said. He informed that the new Dio 110 will be a bit costlier than the previous model, which costs Rs 149,900. The company hopes that the new Honda Dio will further strengthen its market position.

With refreshed styling and a peppier engine, the new Honda Dio comes with tubeless tyres, ensuring better stability and braking efficiency for its already sporty stance. The all-new Dio comes with advanced attributes that offer it more attraction and aggression. The upgraded version of Dio comes after eight years of its first launch way back in 2002. The original model of Dio was launched with 102cc capacity engine, while the newly upgraded model is available with 110cc displacement. Moreover, the scooter has not only upgraded its engine power but has also acquired novel and stylish looks.The new Honda Dio 110 features technology way-head of today’s times that might get huge response from the Nepali scooter lovers looking for something different. The front look of Dio 110 has been redesigned, along with the revamping of the taillights. With a 10 cc boost of power on the 2012 model, the multi-award winning ‘moto scooter’ now gene-rates 8.11 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.66Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The powertrain of Dio 110 delivers mileage of around 55 kmpl, which is 15 per cent higher than the existing model.

A maintenance-free battery, viscous air filter and a spacious under-seat luggage box will

continue to be value addition features for interested buyers of the new Honda Dio. Now with the addition of five exotic new colours — Sports Red, Matt Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White, Candy Palm Green and Leblon Violet Metallic, the radical styling on the new Dio has just gotten more youthful, sleek and aerodynamic. Also upping the style ante of the new Dio are the unique premium 3D emblem and sporty integrated rear with elegant tail lamp.
