KATHMANDU: United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) demanded the big three political parties- the UCPN-Maoist, the Nepali Congress (NC), and the CPN-UML-- to think again over latter’s decision to federate country into 11 pradeshes during the process of state reconstructing.
In the meeting of the UCPN-Maoist and the UDMF held at Baluwatar on Thursday, the ruling Madhes-based parties maintained pressure on Maoists to withdraw the 11-pradesh proposal.
Though the UDMF- an alliance of five Madhes-based political parties- has warned of mass resignation and stir, if the three major parties betrayed them on the issues of federalism, the front is itself divided over quitting government.UDMF leaders feel betrayed
