RPP chief accuses PM of slaughtering CA

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana has accused Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai of butchering the Constituent Assembly (CA).
At a face-to-face programme organised here today, Rana said the PM who is caretaker after the CA's demise, should not go to international conferences.
He said the country was in crisis and his party would not allow the Maoist strategy of holding election under their leadership by mobilising combatants to be successful.
Chairman Rana said the government should give an outlet without lengthening their stay in power and therefore, should resign and pave way for a new government.

Rana is irrelevant to the nation's politics as this is royalist party and there is no longer a king in Nepal. It is amazing that this discredited party still exists at all and even more amazing that it is given voice in the newspapers. Now Rana is advocating mobilization of fighters against the current government. I wonder how many guns and ammunition Rana's party has bought to fight the army and police? Instead of mobilizing fighters with weapons his party should be using the money for good works to help poor people. If all the money that politicians have was used to develop the country instead of fighting one another then Nepal would be competing with modern means on the world scene. Instead rich Nepalis fight one another for power while 99% of the people languish in utter poverty. It is really a very sad statement. I give Babburam highest marks for restraint in not crushing Rana and the RPP with boot as it is an annoying, small insect making buzzing sound trying o bother his effort to help the poor people of Nepal.
