KATHMANDU: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has expressed his worries over the existing political situation in the country owing to the differences among the political parties, and asked the four major political forces to forge an agreement at the earliest to promulgate the new constitution.
Summoning UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal and United Democratic Madhesi Front leader Bijay Kumar Gachhadar at his office in Sheetal Niwas, the head of the state asked them to build up a common agreement on the issues related to new constitution.
The leaders, however, reiterated the stance of their parties before the president.
After the meeting, Nepali Congress President Koirala expressed doubt over resolution of the differences. "It's difficult to forge agreeement," he said.
