President Yadav calls on ailing GP Koirala

KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today called on Girija Prasad Koirala, Nepali Congress President at latter’s residence in Maharajgunj.
“President Yadav inquired about Koirala’s health and wished for his speedy recovery,” said Shekhar Thapa, Koirala’s personal secretary. The President remained at Koirala residence for 15 minutes. It is the first time he visited Koirala’s residence after he he assumed office in July 2008.
NC sources said Koirala has invited senior party leaders at his residence tomorrow. Koirala, a patient of chronic pneumonia, is to leave for Singapore for treatment on Wednesday. His personal doctors Arjun Karki and Ganesh Agrawal, daughter and DPM Sujata Koirala, nephew Dr Shekhar Koirala and personal secretary Thapa are accompanying him.
