Prachanda optimistic on consensus

THT Oline

KATHMANDU: Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said on Friday that political parties will come into a consensus soon to end a current political standoff.

Speaking to journalists at Butwal of Rupandehi and Gaidakot of Nawalparasi on his way back to Kathmandu, he said that the parties are working hard to find new ways to reach a consensus.

He said that Thursday´s tripartite telephone conversation had been the inspiration for new political consensus.

He also said that the Maoists are ready to work with Nepali Congress and CPN-UML on civilian supremacy.

In response to a query he said that Maoists are ready to discuss alternative proposals of other parties instead of its Sankalpa Prastav. But he reaffirmed his stand on civilian supremacy and correction of the President’s ‘unconstitutional’ move.

Our politicians are hopeless , so are their ideologies... the days are not far when our beautiful country is gonna stink like shit hari, Mumbai

Unless our politican leaders regardless of their different political beliefs and agendas, build a common prespective of the real situation of country, there is no hope. You cannot act on what is required unless you know the real ground. I doubt the leaders we have today who go blind with power as soon as they sit on those " kurshis" have any vision at all of empowering public or even see what ailes the nation. rosie rai, UAE

Just why doesn't this dahal character die and rot in hell instead of all the poor people in rukum and jajarkot? Aam Nagarik, Nepal
