KATHMANDU: Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Constituent Assembly(CA) was dissolved by those who do not want to give rights to the people.
Addressing a special training programme of the All Nepal Trade Union Federation organised at the Khanna Garment in Lalitpur today, he said the CA was dissolved as NC and UML were not ready to accept a constitution with federalism and federalism with identity.
The Maoist leader said his party's concept that the people should be empowered with rights, for which the state should be restructured in scientific and practical manner, had not materialised despite his party's efforts in the last hours. "If the people are not organised, the achievements made so far can be lost", he said.
The NC and UML did not want to give rights to the people by obstructing all processes in the name of consensus, has been proved by the developments, he said, adding such tendencies will be suppressed by the power of the people.
He also accused party vice chairman Mohan Baidya of doing activities that match with the NC and UML on the federalism.
"I have still continued efforts for party unity", he said, adding "No stone will remain unturned for the same".
'The status of NC and UML has been evident from the open-air -theatre mass meeting of the parties a few days ago', Dahal said, adding time has come for all federalists with identity in all parties to come at one place.
More than one thousand workers' representatives in Kathmandu had participated in the training.
The training programme was scheduled to make the grand mass rally of June 1 successful.

Pushpin Karma Dhalbhat really has laid the blame where it belongs on the CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress with Mohan Baidya the prime culprit. It is always the Brahmin, Chetri and Newars who obstruct and try to preserve their privileged position within the caste system. They have no love or charity toward their brother and sister Nepalis and act like selfish monkeys. During the mass meeting the worst offenders should grab the most corrupt of these classes along the way and hang them at the final rally point. It is long overdue for the poor Nepali masses to throw off the caste system and lay waste to entire family lineages who have obstructed their progress and continually robbed them of development. It is the Brahmin, Chetri and Newar who are to blame. If they like the caste system so much they should go live in Bihar, India! If not then the people must dispose of themwith all due haste! parbati lama, Boston, USA
