GAJURI: The District Postal Office, Dhading is facing difficulty in delivering postal services after no contractor submitted bidding proposal for postal transportation for the fiscal year 2069-70 BS.
Postal delivery to and from the route of Dhading-Kathmandu has seen trouble when no Transport Entrepreneurs Associations in the district participated in the bidding process citing low volume of work.
The Dhading Transport Entrepreneurs Association, which has been delivering postal goods last year on a contract of Rs 70,000, boycotted the process this year.
The Central Regional Postal Directorate, Kathmandu had called for bidding proposal twice for the purpose of postal delivery, said regional director at the directorate Atma Ram Satyal.
With no submission of proposal for the transport service, employees at the postal office have been compelled to deliver the postal contains.
Director Satyal said they are mulling alternative to collaborate with other bus transport entrepreneurs in delivering postal service.
