KATHMANDU: German automaker Volkswagen has entered into Nepali automobile market by opening its first showroom in Kathmandu today. The high-value brand has been brought to Nepal by Pooja International.
Along with the showroom located at Panipokhari, Volkswagen has also opened a service centre in Kathmandu. Armin Keller, executive director, sales, India and Far East, and Henning Hansen, Charge D’Affaires, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nepal, jointly inaugurated the showroom at a function today.
The inauguration also marked the introduction of Volkswagen’s six new models in Nepal. The revamped version of the famous Beetle — New Beetle, Jetta, a family sedan, Passat saloon car, Passat CC sports sedan, Tiguan compact SUV and Touareg, an SUV built for the toughest road conditions.
The showroom has been designed according to the new Volkswagen worldwide corporate identity.
