Police seize drugs

HETAUDA: A police team at the Ratmate temporary check post seized huge amount of drugs from a taxi bearing the registration number Ba 1 Ja at around 12 noon on Monday.
According to Makwanpur DSP Purna Chandra Joshi, police recovered the contraband during the routine security check.
Over 5,000 pieces of nitrazepam were recovered from the taxi.
Meanwhile, police have apprehended driver Sangam Guru (21) of Jagatpur Chitwan, Sunil Adhikari (28), Nawraj Giri (29), Bharat Pudashaini (24) and Achyutnanda Sukla (59) of Hetauda who were riding in the same cab.
The arrested have been detained at the district police office for further investigation. Police suspect there must be some large group behind this operation.
