BHADRAPUR: Demanding an inclusive constitution with rights to physically-challenged people, and lasting peace, physically-challenged people have started a Mechi-Mahakali Campaign from Mechi bridge of Kakadbhitta, Jhapa.
A total of 23 physically-challenged people including five women are participating in the campaign organised by Independent Living Center, Kathmandu. The campaign has been named as 'Nepal Try-2012'.
The team is likely to return to Kathmandu after completing its journey and submit the signatures to Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subash Chandra Nembang collected from the people.
Chairman of Independent Living Center, Ganesh KC said the campaign was started demanding education, health and employment opportunities to the physically challenged people in the new constitution.
The team will reach Mahakali river bridge via Biratnagar, Lahan, Simara, Hetauda, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Kailali and Mahendranagar.
