Our dreams

PRAGYA PANERU

I read in Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist that if one desires something from his/her heart and keeps on holding that dream no matter what, the whole existence helps to fulfill that dream or desire. When I turn back to my childhood I remember myself as an introvert, innocent child. But still at that time however critical the situation may have been I used to hold on to my dreams, my little fragile dreams! I used to hold on to the belief that I was the most desired child of God and He would forever stay with me, invisible though. I protected that trust and still have trust upon it, and I can see the miracles happening around me just because of that trust. My dream of having a true and best friend became true when I met Anita of whom I can feel proud. The time we spent together are the magical imprints in my heart, and her arrival in my life proved that such friendship is not only limited to movies. I started opening up, and for the first time in my life I realized that there is no harm in sharing and that rather it heals. And that was the first dream which was etched in my memory.

I had nothing with me but the determination to hold on to the dream or to hold on with the trust that it would come true. No matter how people around me reacted, I kept holding it, trusting it was the best thing for myself and the best came to me. I still feel as if existence always chooses the best things for me, and I am always grateful for having this quality with me. Therefore, we should never give up our dreams, and we all are free to dream. The intensity of our dreams inspire us. There is a saying that “however dark is the cloud there is always a thin silver ring around it,” and it’s true. Situations come and go; they don’t remain forever with us. In fact, hard times are the ordeal or measuring blocks for our dreams, and if we are able to hold on to them even in difficult situations then you are the winner. There are people who say that life is not easy. Perhaps they don’t dream or they give up even before dreaming. Yes there are situations more difficult than we ever expected. There are situations which almost breaks us; in spite of this, we must keep on trusting that we won’t let them break us and our dreams. One should have courage to protect one’s dream and life becomes easy. It’s really a beautiful journey where you just need the art of dreaming and let go. There are many persons in history who were icons because they dared to dream. Dreams can lead us toward the way of fulfillment. Try this and see for yourself the dream miracles, because the best things in the world, the best people around the world, are the outcome of beautiful dreams.
