LONDON: Oprah Winfrey has sparked outrage after the recent broadcast of a TV special about her trip to India. The Oprah’s Next Chapter special was dubbed “myopic, unaware, ignorant and gauche” by one Indian commentator. She drew criticism for remarking on the Indian tradition of eating with one’s hands. “Using our hands to eat is a well-established tradition,” blogged Rituparna Chatterjee of the CNN-IBN news channel. “As a responsible public figure about to air a show that will be beamed across the world, you should have done homework,” Chatterjee wrote.

my american born children eat with (clean) hands.Iam sure Ms Winfrey can find the same practice in Africa where her ancestors come from. Sometime ago Europeans did the same. May be if she copies the same practice she can go a couple of sizes down..well maybe. swami nath, usa
